Speed is hard to train for CFs.

I do the following for my junior forwards (RF, LF, CF):

2x attacking headers
2x crossing the ball
2x beating markers
2x sprint

I find it gives a good balanced training of passing, shots, dribbling, speed, strength and technique.

Do you feel there is lack of shots on goal..?

check this crossing the ball training not only shot on goals increase shot stats, just that it would take time, but it would be all around training

@sabre's training is perfect. And if people haven't seen Crossing the Ball, it is amazing. One of my favorites. Same w/attacking headers. Same w/Beating Markers. Shots on goal is unnecessary. 07/09/2013 00:09

Shots on goal trains shots...thats about it. You'll end up with a player that can shoot but can never make it to the goal.

But if we train LW CF RW combination..Attacking headers only for CF in this formula.

Substitute
I am buying into this idea. I have always done double Dribbling and Shots on Goal with my forwards. Starting next season I am going to try this plan and see how it goes. 07/09/2013 07:36

My training schedule is LF/CF/RF...I do not train wingers.
