Really ecstatic by the signing. Reports were that Perez was getting peeved off from Levy's antics regarding the Bale deal in stalling etc. so he made a deal with Wenger for aquiring either Di Maria or Ozil to balance the costs. In the end, Perez ignored bids from PSG and United. Interesting if true. Also, may you keep the Moyes debate for a separate topic please? This thread is here to talk about Ozil to Arsenal. Thanks.  Edit: to answer the OP, I believe he left because Isco was certainly taking over his spot. To be honest, most RM supporters have higher praise for their Spanish players. Come just 3 games into the season, they're chanting Isco's name when the have never done that for Ozil. Also, could be that Bale demanded such a high fee, that they needed to offload someone to balance their spending so they wouldn't get punished by FFP. Then there's him wanting to play weekly due to it being a World Cup year. He needs to compete against the likes of Gotze, Mueller, and others.
