Can someone explain to me how the release clause is calculated? Specifically, if I wanted to make sure that the release clause for one of my players is at or greater than his forecast, I assume I set his salary higher? But how do I calculate how high I set the salary to get the release clause where I want it? thanks |

Trial and Error. Set your wage and see how it affects your player's release clause. If you want it higher then set his wage higher. | 07/09/2013 07:40 |

Thanks. I have done the trial and error and also checked similar transfers to see how high to set the salary so that should cover my current players. I would still like to know, if anyone does, how the calculation is actually done. It isnt the same for the same age, same position, and same average players so there must be some other variables in place? Thanks |

Each player has a set "fidelity" and this is the main factor in their salary to clause ratio | 08/09/2013 07:01 |

just to add, age also affect the salary to clause ratio. the ratio will normally expand when your player reaches his peak ( normally 22-26). <<< this may vary for different players as your player gets older beyond its peak.. the ratio reduces thus the same salary might give a higher clause when you try to resign him. |
