Is it worth having good ones in Div 5 or should i concentrate on pouring money i would spend on them into my youth team and stadium. I say this as mine are quite high at mo and i could save around 600,000 econ a week. Would it be best to have really low skill ones for a while until i sort stadium out. | 08/09/2013 15:45 |

At lower divisions it is essential to invest money into both your stadium and into your youth team to have high progression youth players. In my opinion, I would take that a priority over a good scout/tech. director. Scouts are much more lucrative in making money if you have GBs as you can do the GB+ search, find high progression youths, either train them up or sell them for a profit. It's a good way if you get lucky, but stadium and youth team are more consistent in terms of return on investment. Technical director is also good if you can find a cheap player to hostile but it tends to be more used for emergency situations where you need to find a player quickly if one of your squad members gets injured or suspended. If you really want to mitigate costs, then drop the tech. director. Still, if you can find a scout/director with 85%+, I would keep them as the expenses are somewhat marginal. |

In the lower divisions, I'd always advocate keeping costs as low as possible. Unless you can think of reason why you need them, Id probably dump them especially as the take 10 percent of your weekly income. Simarlary with the other staff, doc, psych and physio can all happily be in the 60s. Financial advisor, I dont think anyone has ever proved justifies large wages. Even coach and junior coach should be kept low if you have no highish prog players to train. |
