Just wondering if anyone has discovered a formula or way to ballpark forecast based on progression and history only. For example, people who post only the prog of the player is there a way to estimate the forecast based on the prog number and looking at the history of the player's average? Also, do all junior players start from age 14? Or do they randomly start with different ages in new start teams, meaning they have not come from a school somewhere, been bought, team quit, and they are sitting out there free for the system to grab when a new team starts? Just trying to see if there is a way to ballpark forecast, I'm not looking for something exact. Since I am new, I can't afford the high forecast players anyway and am happy with 50ish players who may be flat for a few seasons. Thanks |

Its quite complicated. Imagine you have a bell curve when you have the player that represents the FC of the player(the top being the forecast). There is a line you can draw at the top of the curve(where the player will start getting worse rather than better). FC may say 80 for example, if you train him really well than his FC will increase because the imaginary line we have drawn(at the point where he starts getting worse in 10 seasons time for example) does not move but because you are training well the top of the bell moves further up. Some players imaginary line is when they may be 30, although ive seen players that start getting worse at 22. Juniors in schools are either 14 or 15. Free players are anything beween 14 and 18(you can find these with your scout and the 50gb option(if you want nice prog) but alot of others are looking too) New teams start with a random mix of players, you could theoretically get lucky and have a 99 progression 14 year old junior, but the chances are verry very very very low. Most new teams start with a pile of poo. |

If you want a ball park for players between 16-20 years old Forecast = progression. However this is a very lose idea and changes alot if they dont get trained/trained alot. However you rarely see players whos forecast is more that 10 points different from progression Edited by @grantis45 08-09-2013 18:44 Edited by @grantis45 08-09-2013 18:45 |
