i don't really understand much about player release clause and i wanna ask a question, here is my question:if you pay a player release clause will the other manager accept your offer before the player joins your team? 12/10/2013 20:27

A release clause is essentially your player's value to you. You are saying that another manager can have your player if he/she wants, but for a certain (higher than usual) price.

So if my LM's release clause is $350,000,000, that's his value to me on my squad. Release clauses are normally set based on the "similar transactions" page of players, but can vary due to progression and forecast.

A player that pays the "hostile clause" pays all of the release clause. When that happens, the player is automatically signed to the other team after a 24-hour wait period. If that happens to you, there is nothing you can do to stop it- but you can let him go early and receive the money faster. The 24 hour wait period is in case you're not around when it happens, so your team doesn't suffer in its next match.

So if you hostile George Smith, he will join your team after 24 hours, or before then if the other manager lets him.

it isn't friendly to get players that way as you might hurt the manager if he was his most loved player. 13/10/2013 02:02

if you don't want him to snatch your most valued player from you,you have to increase "his"release clause @acebrain 13/10/2013 10:17

A few times now I've lost to teams that I was supposed to destroy. In retaliation I hostiled their most valuable player- just to hostile him. Didn't make any money, didn't use him for my squad, usually just auctioned him off the next day
