Hi, I train defenders and some of them are ready to promote (yellow P). Since few days, some of them are less efficient during the trainings, so I don't know if it's time for them to be promoted or if I should wait until they will get the "red P". If I promote these players, will they be more efficient (or less) ? When do you promote your players ? Which advices can you give to me on this subject ? |

As players get better their improvements due to training reduce. It is easier to get an improvement from weaker players than stronger players. This has nothing to do with with them being in the juniors (or seniors), it is just due to them being harder to train. I would suggest leaving them where they are and focusing on their training for the rest of this season. When the new season starts make a decision then about whether to promote or not. Personally, I would focus on them in your junior team until they have to be promoted. I would also suggest that you forget about your junior LBs and just focus on your LDF/CDF/RDF training. Training their speed with "Sprint" will reduce the number of training session with your other defenders. I speak from experience. ![]() |

The main factor in my opinion is are they good enough to start in your current team, if they are lower av than your current defs i wouldnt do it, they can train at 100% in your juniors all week but they will be benched more in seniors so they wont train as well | 29/10/2013 21:19 |

Thank you for your answers ! For you, there is no strict rule to follow, the feeling is a big part of the choice, that's what I keep in mind. |
