Hi all, I recently singed up for the game and I really find it interesting with loads of tactical options and player details. But then I saw the thing - Golden Balls which was really a game killer for me... what I found out you can actually get real ingame advantage over your opponent by buying these golden balls. For example: Bonus Bonus this team to win. Greatly improves the performance of the team during the game. - Whats the point of setting tactics when your opponent can just spend golden balls to beat you ingame? Appeal Revokes the suspension due to accumulation of bookings. - So this will successfully lift all the bans and bookings. Appealing Revokes the red card Erase skills Reset players' skills which can be reassigned - Whats the point of searching the transfer market for the "right" player when you can spend golden balls and remodel his skills to fit your liking? All this, and a lot more "options" I found make this online manager effectively Pay to Win game. Please, elaborate on this. Thanks |

Bonus While this does give an extra advantage, it costs a lot of GB's to use so would be quite expensive for the player to use. Plus it only adds 1 or 2 % to the teams average. If your tactics are good, you can beat these bonuses. Appeal Again, this doesn't come cheaply. I dont see this as an issue though. I've never used it & would never be tempted to. Erase Skills Skills are an added bonus. Sometimes managers put a skill on a ridiculous category & using this can put it in the right place. |

The skills you speak of are not purchasable with golden balls. They come from a player's experience through playing time. The erase skills button simply allows you rearrange the skills he has developed. If you have a player long enough you can assign them on your own when they develop and then it becomes unnecessary to reset their skills because they're already where you want them. | 27/01/2014 16:08 |

Even if you buy all the paid features, you will surely surely not win. What really matters here is "smart thinking" what golden balls cannot substitute. | 27/01/2014 19:11 |

Bonus only adds 0.5% average to each player for the first 10 bonuses, thereafter it is dramatically reduced | 27/01/2014 22:30 |

i too h8 pay to win games ![]() imo this game isnt pay to win: sure i takes time to get into div2 (div 1 is impossible for a new starter now also my opinion) but div2 teams will win the sm cup soon ( imo III) also u may be the tactical genius thinker to break the sim and win div1 so back to the point.. gbs are only needed for finding out players progression (10gbs) but even here u can just sign players with lables "96 prg" ect.. as its the worst crime here to mis label players on auction ![]() sadly this game is slowing down in numbers of active managers due the the announcement of sm2 (shortly going into alpha testing) so my advice is get to know this game as sm2 will be very simular especally the sim and tactics have fun hope u enjoy and sign up for sm2 beta then live ![]() oh u might still be elligable for alpha - they told us anyone wth an active pack manager (500gbs) on 7th jan would get invite into alpha ofc beta will likely be open to anyone this is the best manager sim available today by long way |

I'm glad golden balls don't make that huge of an impact. Umm... wait what? Don't tell me we're gonna be starting from scratch again? What is this new 2.0 version you're talking about? Where can I read more (see screenshots) about it? |
