I think it might be interesting in this or a subsequent version of SM if weather and climate could have some impact on the games.

Spain may well be (officially) the best team in the world, but I wonder how they would handle playing in Tromsø, northern Norway in January. Likewise, England have sweet FA chance of competing in the Manaus jungle this June. Even the best South American teams have struggled playing away in Bolivia, whose national stadium is on the edge of space.

Similarly, a sudden downpour of rain, such as Ukraine v France Euro 2012, will mean passes will need to be in the air rather than along the ground.

A pre-match weather prediction could be used to determine how to play against certain teams.

Thoughts?

Too many variables for a sim that cannot even have a GK make a goal kick.... 28/01/2014 19:38

we are due for an ice age now not global warming

every 100,000 yrs the solar cycle and earths tilt combine to cause ice ages..
in the next 100 yrs the earths tilt in summer will be slating further away from the sun during the summer (northern), meaning the summer melts wont happen.

man accounts for 0.5% of global Co2 emission - the rest occurs naturally

we (man) cannot hope to effect global temps as we have so little impact on it

we should worry about fresh water supplies and air quality we breath in out populated areas or poverty

and stop watching corporate propoganda:

so if we are to imput weather into sm2's new sim then lets get it right and have smog causing goals because gk was unsighted or no income from home game this week due to ice storms
Perhaps a star player could be forced to retire after he becomes obese having eaten too many ready meals

Before this gets silly, the suggestion was that the game take into account things we take as static and tacit agreements. Much in the same way the game has decided that the schools in Brazil should be better than those in Angola, so can we also agree that a game played in Nuuq in February might be under different conditions than a game played in Sydney on the same day, or that rain creates different playing conditions to sunshine.

I don't expect Striker Manager to be at the forefront of world climate debates.

First of all I want to say that I've never read so many bs altogether in this forum in a long time, wives. And I use to read it quite often. What you said is unbelievable. "We the humans are not guilty so let's stop trying to find solutions" ... We can discuss this somewhere else if you want, I'm not going to keep this going here.

Secondly this suggestion is so repeated.. and it is never going to happen, never in this server at least. We could experience the surprise of our lives if it is implemented on the future served. It would bring a lot of problems with it though: "I lost because of the nature".

And lastly I close because of what I just said.
