Can anyone suggest how I might get my players not to shoot until they are closer to the net? I find that they often shoot from a distance, even if there's no one on them. I imagine its a combination of tactics and formation, but can't figure it out. Thanks! |

...and how to not shoot directly to the goalie when he can shoot to the corners... ...and how to shoot towards the net, not off to the side away from it... It's just how sim is. Otherwise, we would have matchs with a basketball score! |

Those missed chances give me miniature heart attacks. He's right in front of the goal and "Damn!!" goes all Heskey. But infact they save a lot of matches from becoming a cricket score. Edited by yoyoyoyoyo 07-08-2014 18:07 |

About a year and a half ago there was a significant change to the SIM that made strikers worse in a few ways because there were scorelines that were like 10-7 and even 20-0 (we still get those in the cup, but they could happen against more evenly matched teams), which are obviously a bit unreal to the sport. This caused the shots that fly 100 yards to the side of goal and other weird things. As far as getting the players closer in to shoot, it's possible, but it takes a bit of luck and working with your formation and slider bars quite a bit. |
