Can someone please explain to me how exactly is drop of the rel. clause calculated when resigning a player and what factors are icluded to determenine how much his release clause will drop. Is there an estimated increase in average that determens will players release clause decrease when resigned? Etc. Thank you. |

I don't know exactly but the release clause will be highest for the least amount of salary when the player is first promoted from juniors to senior team. If it is a player you are going to keep for a long time, keep that in mind when setting that initial senior team salary. | 08/08/2014 23:18 |

If it is a player you are going to keep for a long time, keep that in mind when setting that initial senior team salary. To buttress this point, the higher the age of a junior, the lower the release clause would be on promotion. Let's say a junior is 60/16 and ripe for promotion, and his counterparts are 60/17 and 50/17 respectively. If you're going to give all of them the same salary, say $100, 000, the junior with 60/16 statistics will end up having a much higher release clause compared to the others - in my little experience, it's always around $180m, while the others are always around $120m and $92m respectively. In addition, at age 19, when a player has the red "P", his release clause on promotion is very pathetic compared to that which an 18 year old of the same average would have gotten. The lesson learnt? Always promote your junior before he turns 19! Edited by Ali Agharabi 09-08-2014 16:31 |

Also, if you iimagine you will be keeping the player in your senior squad for a while, I think it is better to go big with the wages on his first contract. I recently wanted to increase the release clause of a player I promoted a season or two back. To get his RC from 200m to 300m took a wage increase of 100k to 600k. Thinking ahead would have saved me millions! | 10/08/2014 09:04 |

Thanks everyone. Its all clear now to me except the thing with average. I ask because recently I resigned a player that was trained every day since I bought him. Having a good progress his average increased from 30ish to 40ish in a month or so. So when I was resigning him his release clause actually increased for the same initial salary. So I was wondering is there some expected growth of average that determens the release clause also? Sorry for errors Im writing from my rubbish phone. Edited by ForzaJuve! 11-08-2014 10:38 |
