Why is the market soo bad this days??? Am trying to sell but none is willing to buy even at a lower cost. My 23/86 LM http://en.strikermanager.com/jugador.php?id_jugador=8473284 is an example. A few reasons. 1. Teams in div 1, 2, and sometimes even 3 are all about at their max in terms of player quality. In order to upgrade they need to save money for at least a few weeks, and then they can only afford 1 player, so a lot of teams aren't really active in the market at any given time. 2. The game is slowly dying. When it's dying and people are selling players from 0 it hurts the market when the players go so low. Akleb's players sold criminally low this season, and last season bisho's players sold for pretty dirt cheap. This hurts the market big time. There are many other reasons but to me those are the main ones to me. Honestly if you can it might be best to stick him on the market at the same price over and over. I've had trouble selling senior players lately but if they're on the market it seems like eventually someone will send me a message and ask to buy via direct purchase and I usually make a bit more than I had if they had bought on auction. |

Or maybe you just overpaid for that particular player? Six months before you bought him he was at 76avg and went for $150m. Six months later he was an 80avg and you paid $248m. Perhaps you were really in need of an 80avg mid when you bought him, maybe in a tight promotion race, maybe flush full of money, maybe it was a heavily contested auction. Whatever, you paid nearly $100m more than the previous transaction. Could be that you overpaid. It was also more than a year ago and the market has dropped some, so if you did overpay and the market dropped, that price swing will make you feel like the bottom fell out Ultimately a player's price depends on just how badly the manger thinks he needs that particular player/position. And in my experience (a little over a year in the game) another player will come along just as good or better at the price I am willing to pay - I need not overpay. Also, in my experience, someone will eventually feel like they need your player somewhere near your price and buy him. Keep listing him on 24hrs (until 24hs no longer exists! ) |
