The aim of asking for clarification now, rexmilan, is, rather than sign a player up for 4 seasons when October comes, you sign them up for 7, which will become 6 years in October (when the new season starts), getting an extra two years out of the contract. Can make a difference to the weekly salary in the long run.

I am seeking clarification, which is why I posted this message.

Sugatar, the two players you point to, how long were their initial contracts once in the senior squad?

And when were they re-signed? If it was during the new season - with the changes already implemented - than your argument falls through. But if they were on 6-7 year contracts, and they have dropped to four, than it clears things up.

And yes, I would like an official @ answer on the issue. But one has not been forthcoming as yet.

Old squad equals plenty of skills...

Only people who don't realise this make comments such as those.

I think if you have a player resigned for 6 years, next season he'll have 5 more years of contract.

But if you try to resign any player, max will be 4.

The email never says that the current long-contracts will be reduced so I don't know why you think that.

No, he'll have only 4. I play in .es server and I know that

What sutagar said is right. Any player with contract greater than 4 years will have it reduced to 4 years. Any player with contract less than or equal to 4 years will remain the same.

The RW has 7 years because I reduced the clause two seasons ago to loan it to another team, and each resigning reduces the clause.

The other player (CF), I promoted him last season, with 18 years and 7 years.

Some of the other players had 6 or 7 years too.
