I am interested if anyone can tell me... Since saves are really rare and absurd in the game and vast majority of vasted chances are tweaked in the way of vasted opportunities from the attacking team; what is the difference between 60 average and 90 average goalie actually? Thanks |

I think actually the SIM is just a predetermined visualization of various calculations in the game engine. Sounds obvious, but if the game engine takes into account both teams, their morale, stamina and fitness, the tactics each is using, and then stirs in a bit (or sometimes a lot) of luck, that's the result you get. So, the game decides you will lose the game 4-0, for example. I think that's what the 5 minutes before the game is doing when you can't edit the lineup or tactics. Once it's decided you will lose the game 4-0, the SIM recreates it as best it can. Strikers miss from 4 yards, GKs dive over the ball, whatever. The reason we see a 60avg team make no more or fewer stupid errors or genius plays than a 90avg team is because the result is already decided. The SIM just shows some unusual patterns visualizing that predetermined score, almost like there is a 'stock' 4-0 SIM catalogue of errors. So again, you are going to lose 4-0, the SIM just decides how it looks! |

Thanks A better GK lowers forward's accuracy (more shoots out or to GK's hands). Forward's shoots from the box are very capped, so there's not much difference between GKs of those averages, even between GKs and other positions playing as GK. |

A better GK lowers forward's accuracy (more shoots out or to GK's hands). Is this true? I can understand a better keeper saving more shots, but can they actually influence a striker to miss the target more often? Edited by Jon C 18-09-2014 20:52 |

Edited by Jon C 18-09-2014 20:52 Yup, I think it is correct although we would need a developer here to confirm so we'd know for certain. But it makes sense, read what Sicox86 wrote.
