Just the ones you need to re-sign have a 4 year max, which makes......no difference at all! Also, gone is the function behind the import/export formation button. Rumor has it that every time you click the now 'dead' buttons, you're actually giving 1GB to Jurgen Norbert Klopp, but that's yet to be confimed. Seriously though, I'm glad the import/export button no longer works, I think it was a bane of the game. |

The forum has some posts regarding problems with resigning, as in you can't resign seniors at all. I haven't tried and will wait to see what comes of it. As for the import/export formation, it won't solve any purported problem of user sharing of formations. It may make it more difficult but all you have to do is take 35 screenshots and email them. Yes, formations won't be widely circulated but I seriously doubt they were in this server anyway. A more cynical take on the changes is that they are designed to intentionally make the game less user friendly in an effort to drive managers out of the game so they can shut it down. Variations on this theme include making the game need as little dev input as possible or driving away users so as to require less server usage. |

This is a really interesting take, and one I hadn't thought of until now. I won't begrudge U-Play for doing it, if it is the reason, as versioning in this way makes commercial sense, and this server is cooling down. I am not going to be joining the new game, but I probably won't see the last days of Rome here, either, so I only see barriers to oversharing as a good thing. |
