"This game must be supported somehow" This game could be partly funded, as others do, with the availability of watching advertisement videos. I can't imagine they're difficult to implement, and while not everyone would care to spend twenty minutes or half an hour clicking on numerous videos I'm sure enough would that it could generate extra revenue for the developers. In fact if I were creating a game such as this, one of the first features I would look to implement is a way to create profit without the need for people even going to their credit cards. I have spent hours clicking on these videos in the past to earn credits in games. Admittedly I think the companies who sell such features, and the companies that advertise are fooling themselves that this is a worthwhile means of advertising, as I'm sure everyone does as I do... read, play, watch other stuff while the adverts play somewhere in the background. But I'm not complaining. Everyone's a winner. Gamers get free credits. Developers have another source of income. And the companies advertising think their clever little adverts are being watched and encouraging future sales!!! (right now I can only think of two adverts I've ever clicked on... and that's because they were trailers for movies I want to see!) |
