The other thing to remind people is basically what @prac said.

There is only one GK spot on any field, therefore, only one GK will get 100-110% motivation. The rest stay on your bench and receive 75-80%, and those in your reserves get 55-60%. If they play on the field in the incorrect position, 20-22%.

Compare that to any outfield junior training player, where you can have 5-9 on the pitch, developing at 100-110%. BIG difference.

It might be easy to train GKs, but at what ultimate cost to your team? Trust me, I have spent billions in building up my senior squad, and not a great percentage has come from buying and selling goalies.

PS. And don't ask what my secret is, as I won't be giving it away.
