Still need one intercept pass. Otherwise, they are winning the ball, and not knowing how to pass it. 08/12/2014 23:04

Given that there's no setting for "forwards pressing DF", and most xF/xW are <20 in ballsteal, is that really necessary?

Yes, this fails to SuTaGar's wingers... when I get to group3, I'll have to change tactics anyway.

Just because there isn't a button doesn't mean you cannot adjust your formation and tactics to accomplish the same result. ricdan is correct - if you want well trained xDF you need to include intercepting passes so that the def can pass.

The higher you go, the more xW and xF ball steal is.

I mean, mine are 68 and 81 atm, but improving. So your theory isn't a good one, Buckeye.

It may work in the lower divisions, but not as you advance. So you may as well take the time to develop a player properly. Do it whilst the competition isn't as strong, so you are not trying to cover it up on the run.

Just some helpful advice from someone who has gone through this.

you still need to intercept passing, because it is always a good way of stopping attacks from opposition teams. 09/12/2014 13:02

Intercept passes is only useful for dribbling and passing stats.. it's barely pertinent to speed / ball steal / strength / technique / aggressiveness, which are the key for xDF. 09/12/2014 13:42
