Hi Olympians,

At the start of the season I made the decision that this season would be my last. I have very much enjoyed my time in this game and being a part of this PL has, without doubt, been the highlight. My reasons for leaving are numerous, but first and foremost of them is that this game has become a distraction I just do not think I can realistically hope to entertain as my personal priorities change. I will be starting next season only to honor existing loan deals, but after that is all sorted will cease to compete.

As we come to the end of the season, I am fortunate to be able to look back on my most succesful and competitive campaign to date, regardless of how my team performs from this point. No matter where I finish in the league, 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th, I will be leaving, so my decision will not be swayed by a possible promotion to Div 2, nor brought on by missing out on promotion. I will, however, be competing at my maximum capacity in the league to see where I can get. In the PL I obviously have no further need to field a strong side, so am prepared to lose 6 points next weekend if it helps my team's performance in the league!

I will be selling off all or most of my players upon completion of Monday's game v Vitoria. If you don't want to see where the auction ends and want to do a direct deal then or before then I am very open to deals which won't harm my promotion push, nor land either party with a fine. Otherwise, look out for my guys on auction!

I know I haven't been the perfect PL admin in the way I have dealt with every challenge faced, but I sincerely hope that my intended message - that no individual is bigger than the collective - can live on into further Olympus Circle seasons. I also hope my services as a PL admin have, in some way, improved the competitiveness of all Olympians, past and present. This truly is a special PL, and I am proud to be associated with it and with all of you. Despite being only 1/4 of the admin team here, I know it has mostly been me being judge, jury, executioner, statistician, publisher and guard dog of the PL. The other PL admins are just as capable of carrying out the necessary roles in my absence, and probably a whole load better, and I have done what I can to ensure the transition of the service I contribute with will be seamless. I will fulfill my PL admin duties up to completion of R26, after which point I will hand up my admin boots!

As this is not an Oscars speech, I will not be running off a long list of personalized shoutouts. I will, however, thank my fellow PL admins, and friends, Ali, ronnie and @vgates for being a part of something special in the game with an honest, sporting and gentlemanly message. Thanks gents.

Good luck, Olympians, in all your future endeavours, and best of luck in the forthcoming seasons.

He mentioned it once. I discarded it at once!

"He doesn't know what he's talking about", I smirked.

He did know - eventually. He had always known anyway. Decisions were never hard for him to make! Why, and why would this have been much different?

It was a very big honour to work with, play against, play alongside one of the game's finest tacticians. When I asked him to join us that time, it was a request right on time. He had been looking for a platform as TOC to compete amidst sincere, honest managers who would compete for the same cause in a most transparent manner.

I am glad he joined us. I am glad because I learnt quite a lot from him all through our quiet times together.

Simon is one of the most caring dictators I have ever known. Yes, I meant that! The more his toughness seemed to abound, the more his kindness even gained grounds! Whenever decisions had to be taken, he respected no one - not even his best friends. He said whatever he had in mind regardless of what others thought and he always stood his grounds. This he did always for the benefit of every one concerned. That's something I have had to learn from him, to speak my mind at all times.

It was even more honourable not only to watch him play, but also to know him on a personal basis. What more could I, Ali, have asked for?

I know he'll host me in Denmark. Soon.

sico will be sorely missed.
