He cannot get a longer contract, and the buyer hasn't even got a friendly tomorrow, so he won't play a single game!

I have been keeping track of the total auction amount over its 72-hour duration and actually graphed it:



As we can see, there was hardly any activity the first 40 hours, and then the prices shot up before plateauing a little around 50 hours. I was a little worried at this point until 60 hours, but then in the last 12 hours the total went from 2bn to almost 5bn, adding what looks like 1.2bn in what must be the last 20-30mins. I'll obviously never know how a 48-hour auction would look, but I'm happy to have had the extra day to build interest, even if it didn't amount to much in terms of bids!

So, my deposits are now as healthy as they have ever been, and will ever be, most likely!

My plan for the moment is to continue running a junior team, so I will have an easier time should I choose to return to the game properly. I'll still be here, albeit not often and not (obviously) in a competitive way. I will try and find an easy PL next season just to make extra money, but I will always be an Olympian at heart! Feel free to send me friendly requests - I'll accept at least 1 from any Olympian as a principle.

Remember to get those season ticket prices up before the server shuts tomorrow, it's a nice early earner if you hit it right.
