1st of divs 6 and 5 u will be unlucky if there are more than 1 other human club so u should promote through to div4 just by using effort which the cpu teams cant use thats 2 season u dont need to spend any money on senior players and thats just my 1st point 2nd i have been meaning to make a new thread about an easy 1 tactic fits all that i am working on - many people spend hours working on tactics each week, my philosophy is that u shouldnt bother ever with tactics because this is just a flawed simulator that is crude and unreaslistic |

I agree with both of you @s. Using youth team to grow future superstars and to build players to sell in the near/far future is the key to winning and earning money in order to have a successful team...don't get me wrong. But most of the new managers, who aren't familiar with mangerial football games, aim to fast promotions and don't look at building a solid team-system (youth+proper scouting). So, this thread points in the right direction, and I do appreciate the initiative of @superkapper, who tries to spread his knowledge of the game to the newcomers (like myself), but most of new managers are shortsight and too greedy, I would say. Any team, in this game and in real life, should adopt this politics...on the other hand, results is what counts (Italian Serie A way of thinking) and if one doesn't want to wait for results he buys poor seniors that allow him to win few matches instead of build a solid team for the future. New generations are not good at waiting  |

because when you start you have limited money, tying it up with youths that wont return a profit for seasons doesn't make all that much sense tbh. I make some cash from the youths but i'm not putting millions into good youths when i can use the money for quicker returns via stadium, promotions, quick sales of senior players. Do most people get a decent coach with their team? I didn't and the cost of getting an 80 odd coach into the high 90's is huge. I agree more established players with everything in place should be training youths for long term profit, someone looking to grow quickly, not so much. Also until div 4 the football side of the game sucks, so why on earth would you stay playing bots for zero fun or tactical learning? That is my reasons anyway, or at least it was now i am in div 4 i will start with that but still not priority 1. I am enjoying the game and think i am doing ok at it to be honest. It took me about 3 seasons to understand the full game. For a while I didn't understand training at all (this was also at a time where top teams were 60 average) and just thought it was totally random if players improved. Once I understood that my team got better at really quick rates. |
