when you sell that player on they will still show that % and if he gets sold on again you get that % of the sale and the percentage drops by 2 then if he is sold again you get the new % of that sale and it drops again etc

For example:
team A has a player who is from his school or one of his original starting players and has had him for 5 seasons so he would have 10% formation rights and sells to team B
team B then sells to team C - team A gets 10% of sale and rights drop to 8%
team C then sells to team D - team A gets 8% of sale and rights drop to 6%
team D then sells to team E - team A gets 6% of sale and rights drop to 4%

and so on until formation rights drop to 0%

just remember if you have a player that shows any % of formation rights and he DID NOT start in your team you will lose that % of the sale to the original owner

So if you have a player with 6% formation rights that didnt start on your team and you sell him for 100million you will get 94million and the original owner will get 6million
