All this because he didn't pass to Ronaldo yesterday, would Ronaldo have passed in that situation? Probably not. Most attackers are slightly greedy, Bale is no exception to that. I'm not even 100% sure he saw Ronaldo there (Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong).
