In the TACTICS screens you have an option to change TACTIC. This is the screen that shows an image of the football pitch on the right hand side, with three coloured bars running across it – which represent your forward line, your defence and the position of your midfield. Moving those bars allows you to position how high or low you want your forwards, your midfield and your defence to be. Lower the top bar – the one that represents the forwards. This will ensure they don't wander too high up the pitch and continually run beyond the last defender causing the number of offsides you're currently suffering. You may also want to experiment with variations of this, especially with your defence. This will allow you to take advantage of managers who, as you have now, forwards too high up the pitch. If you care to study your next opposition you could learn whether they play with a high or low defence or forwards and adjust your tactics accordingly. Edited by JensonJet 27-02-2015 01:24 |

More effectively, when setting your advanced formation (where you move the ball on the pitch and set the position of your players accordingly to where the ball is), whenever the ball is in your own half, all your player should not cross the midfield line and they should cross it only when the ball is on your opponents half. A wise approach would be checking, before a match, if your opponent uses offside traps or not, so to understand if it would be useful to use the appoach I suggested you. If he uses OTs then go with my advice, otherwise jensonjet approach could be enough | 27/02/2015 07:43 |

That is only To set your starting formation and assign position to your players...spots near the corners is to set the position of your players on a cornerkick in defense and offense Edited by Durnorf 28-02-2015 13:38 |
