In previous games I've subbed the keeper so a Junior can get experience, but because they are likely to make mistakes and inevitably let in goals I never wanted them to play the whole match initially. There are fewer football games that you cannot sub the goalie than ones you can. I don't know. Not that I was even suggesting such a thing as I was referring to the person asking the question, but perhaps it's true if you've not played a game where you can sub a goalie.
