@vgate, please are you trying to say a lower manager asking for tips on tactics is a crime or I should put it mildly not acceptable to you? Come on. Ordinarily you can't give an exact formation plus tactics to any manager because the import and export button has being deactivated. So giving tips shouldn't be a problem as am very sure you might probably in one or the other have gotten tips too on tactics or formations. I also did receive some awesome tips from an ever ready and listening top manager in the game. | 15/04/2015 18:53 |

But a rude(kinda) request attracts a more rude response. Instead of "gimme ur tactics" or "loan me your cdf/cf) if you go "Hey, could you help me with some tips on --------." or "Hey, you have a great bunch of CDFs there, will you be loaning out one of them this season?", the response will never be just a "Nope". When I asked for help, I was neat, specific and polite in asking what I need. And it was never a "No!" for me. You too have experienced the same Yubix, haven't you? |

I have never received a calm/friendly/normal request for advice. I have, however, received several messages ALL IN CAPS demanding that I sell some player of mine to them at a ridiculous below-market price, requesting that I divulge the wisdom of the world to them because they bothered to send me 4 words that vaguely resemble a sentence, or telling me that they have some player that I should train regardless of the training that I do. I think the entire premise of the OP is full of bovine effluvium. "No matter how polite you are" .. requires you to actually BE polite [as determined by the person you're messaging] for that assertion to be valid. Take a look in the mirror, take responsibility for YOUR results, and show humility and respect when you ask someone else to take time out of their day to help you. I have ZERO sympathy for people who have no desire to work for a result, and I don't want those people to succeed - period. Remember that every exchange has two sides.. if you want to you receive a response, you have to provide enough for that other side to be motivated to reply.. or else YOU are the person who's at fault. And even when you do ask politely: That still doesn't mean someone "should" answer you! And, it doesn't mean they're deliberately antagonizing you. You're making way too many assumptions.. there's a hundred reasons why someone would not reply, and it's ridiculously narcissistic to assume that their actions have anything to do with you. If your goal is one response from a top player, you probably should expect to message 25 people to get that reply. My own experience? When I message someone who's clearly active and I have a specific reason to message them [buy a player of theirs, negotiate a loan, schedule a friendly, etc].. they're perfectly nice and responsive, if they like what I have to offer. Sometimes I get ignored! In which case, I look to buy a different player or schedule that friendly with the next team.. it's not personal. Edited by Buckeye623 15-04-2015 23:45 |

As @yoyoyoyoyo has said being POLITE and humble in request is the key which I clearly do agree with and off course every manager has a right to reply or ignore messages. On forums though we shouldn't discourage top managers from giving replies to PM. I really do hope all the managers seeking for help can read all these answers and learn from them. |

I will always help anyone but i can only help so much, I will always give advice and teach as much as I can, As others have said it depends on what you are asking for, if someone messages me asking for my formation, to buy their players, to sell mine cheap or to loan that is some of the things I am not willing to do. |

I have just received 2 messages, each asking me to sell them a player.. without quoting a price they're willing to pay. I think the "issue," if there is actually such a thing, is NOT that higher-ranking players don't "want to help" lower-ranking players... that makes no sense because we already share an interest in this thing called a game, and everyone's well aware of the need to expand the player base to maintain viability.. but rather that the lower-ranking players have ridiculously unrealistic expectations regarding their future interaction with "a higher-ranking player." I respond calmly, because I don't know if the lower-ranking players are so disconnected from reality that they actually don't understand how unrealistic their requests are. But I thoroughly reject the notion that higher-ranking players somehow "WANT" to keep lower-rankers down. |
