Hi all. I am new to the game and would be gratefull for some advice so I can understand how the game is running. I have two questions regarding todays game of my club, if someone could be so kind to have a look: 1. Why is my central defender most of the time behind the goalkeeper being useless? How can I correct that? 2. Why did I have so many offsides? How could I correct that? Thanks in advance. |

Pozdrav  1st thing first, I see you are playing with "Basic" formation. You can make much more with formations when you click to "Advanced" view in formation set up window. You can position your players at each square of the field where you want them to be while the ball is at diferent positions on the field. That being said, you will set you CDF to move where desired and not so low back as basic formation instructs him. As for ofsides, same thing; you will move your forwards far way back in order to avoid them. I keep mine even in line with center line and moving upward in offensive instructions. Maybe this all won't make much sense to you until you temper around with it a bit. YOu'll get what I mean once you start playing with it. Thank you for this helpful information. I have read the post you posted before, but it was difficult to understand it. I like to learn by example. I understand the advance formations are better and now that I see what is wrong with my basic formation and how to modify it, I can start playing with advanced. Hvala!
