I fear this oversimplification would not work so well. Firstly, some positions are worth more than others, and these relative values fluctuate over time. Secondly, a 75avg 17-year-old DFM is worth more than a 34-year-old DFM of the same avg. Third, progression is often more valuable than afvg in junior players, so this would negate the use of having good quality, excellent schools or using GB searches to find hidden gems (a good earner for the game). Finally, the price of players is open to inflation and deflation. A couple of years ago there was discussion on how to deal with huge inflation in the game. Now, we see player prices, particularly I think at the higher end of the avg spectrum, significantly lower than they were 3-4 seasons ago. A limit like this would almost certainly cause more problems than it would solve. Edited by sicox86 02-07-2015 12:33 |
