I've been sitting on this for quite a long time. And I think it's high time we talked about it, only for experienced managers please!

Are we really helping by negleting players value and allowing auction sale to force prices down. With the look of thing if this continues we'll end up like ES server.

Is it logical if a manager luckily bought a player cheap on auction because of some reason well known to us, then that lucky cost turn to standard price and reducing the value in the process. And it has been going on like this since the beginning of the game till this moment but not too late to be corrected.

I believe the theory of auction is really affecting the game. Only understandable by economics minds.

Lets just talk about this with links if necessary, @vgates keep my player out of this

In my opinion, I really doubt if this server can plunge down so well that it ends up just like the Spanish server. First of all, the total number of active managers there thoroughly supersedes the figure over here.

So, we might want to reorganise that a little bit; with things going the way they are going, this server will end up as a dirty shadow of what it used to be in previous years, and more top managers will have a permanent loss of interest playing the game.

True! The system of auction has helped almost all managers to reach the heights they are presently in because it is not a stable system. One moment, prices are high, and the other moment, the prices come low. It has also helped to set a standard range of monetary values on players, hence, you cannot buy a 90/20 central defender for $100 million. We have the auction system to thank for stabilising prices and giving us the option of first checking similar transfers before setting out to buy a player.

But then again, it has served its purpose, and I agree with Oyewale - it is no more needful to us!

It isn't stable, as I have said earlier, and we don't have more than enough managers to sustain the values of the auction system. This is why we do not need it anymore, and we'd rather stick to a more modern kind of system of purchasing players which is by agreement of both parties.

We have guides now. We have similar transfer records for players, and some records can date as far back as two years. We neeeeed a transfer agreement market now, while scrapping the auction market. The latter ought to have been a means to an end, and not the other way round. We shouldn't have auctions as our last resort because we cannot find buyers for our players. Not every manager is online or active at every given point in time. Not everybody can see my beautiful player on auction. I lose returns; the game loses value. Sometimes, I don't really take time to check out similar transfers because almost all records have been polluted and adulterated due to falling prices of players.

Will we be able to cope with introducing a transfer agreement market?

Sometimes, we see players we like, but cannot get them because the manager wants a huge amount of money.

"Well, let me wait a few days. A player with similar statistics will be auctioned off!"

When there is no market for auction again, I believe we will adjust and make funds available for the players we need to buy. That way, there will be decency - fresh air - sanity - cool breeze in the buying and selling system of this game.

You just hit the point A A, I just want us to look into this carefully. We really need to scrap auction market system before it ruin this game.

Transfer agreement market is the solution, all we have to do is to list players for sale like a kind of transfer list (Just like in real life). Interested managers can send offers. And the accept option should be in such a way that managers can't make mistake, there should be like two or three buttons to click.

You've made this argument before, and it doesn't work like that. Market prices are based upon auctions because the auction is the perfect measure of supply and demand. IMO the only way players should have ever been able to be sold on here is on auction from $0.

We are basically in a permanent recession on here. The market will never recover. The issue is how easy it is to train players up, and how the vast majority of players now have a perfect training schedule. 3 years ago many managers did not understand how to train players or how to get good youth, so good players had more value. Now most do, so the market is saturated with really well trained players. Everyone knows how to train guys to 80 average and above, so we're over saturated with them.

We even have too many 95+ average players. When looking to upgrade a position, none of us wants to spent 400m for 1 average increase, no we want more than that for a big investment, so you don't go looking for a 93 av player to replace your 92, you look for a 95 to replace him. There are less people active on the big player market.

As a fiscal we aren't going to try and change the system to prop up the market as that causes more issues. Artifically inflating the market simply does not work in the long term, it also would just mean nobody would want to buy for the new inflated prices.

There is really a lot to this, no need to inflate. Just to maintain standard. Yes, we can't just change things like that because it might lead to other things but I'm sure it worth it. Lets look critically into this.

And In the general sense, you don't sell goods with a close substitute on auction talk less of tons of them. You maintain a standard price....

Yeah illex is right supply/demand, market prices are going down very quick .
I remember when we started this game getting 80avg team was huge achievement and we spend like 6+ seasons to do that now you can see ~80avg team with ~3 seasons in this game.
Another big factor is when they put skills to maximum 3 instead of previous 5 most of the player prices dropped a lot.
There was huge difference between same avg CF with 5x net breaker 5x change of pace 5x RWB and CF with 3x maybe ~1B difference.

But what you're talking about is price fixing, despite the market going downward and player values being lower than what they used to be, you want to raise prices of everything back to a level they used to be at. There are a few issues with that:

1. It kills the market. The market would suddenly be very boring if you opened it up and there were 4 90 average strikers all for sale for 750m, you can't find any deals, you can't find the guy who is more willing to sell because he needs cash ASAP, so you can gain no advantages when buying or selling. You want to sell your 99 av player? Great, he can sell for exactly X and nobody can fight over him.

2. because player prices are static, you have no incentive to buy players, you'd rather just train players up as youth than buy from the market. The economy dies. A large part of the reason this game is fun is because the market is solely controlled by supply and demand. No outside forces controlling it, nothing.

3. Who's gonna set the prices? There are hundreds of different types of players, there would need to be someone to set each price, and then you have the issue that not everyone is going to agree with the price levels. How often do we have to evaluate the prices? Once a week? A month? Thats a lot of work.

I get it, it sucks that profit margins are way down and we can no longer make good money, but everything is fairly even since prices are also down so you can get more for your money.

Didnt know that you know that market is going down.
Read carefully no need to judge every comment,we put opinions here.
Do you like them? who cares.
If making from 5x skills to 3x skills made difference then going back to 5x will help isnt it?

Hard to prevent,maybe reducing training ~20% can help but doubt it.
