versatility means the ability of your player to play other wings or positions that are relevant to his own position.....

so if you train versatility in DFM he will play IM comfortably...............OM with good versatility will play CF.. .....CDF with nice versatility will play the role of LDF or RDF

so when you'll put a player In another position the versatility will dictate whether his yellowish average could play courageously that role

also note that

a 87average-DFM with 79% versatility could play IM with a yellowish average of 85average (in yellow)

versatility may also help your players in matches to support all other disabled or players who has gone to tackle ...and left the wing...........a versatile player will help you to fill the position for a meantime.....before the coming back of the player who had went in tackling or attacking........

so players with versatility will be good in any other relevant position or able to help others easily

I hope this helps.....

There is actually no versatility training, it's just a fixed stat. Really not that important as most managers has enough players for all positions!

Just what you need to know I think. Good luck!
