Been a long time since I tried Striker 2 but I believe it was pretty much designed for mobile as it's ideal platform. I can't speak for everyone else but I originally kept playing both versions as I didn't want to lose the progress I had made on this version. Many others could have been of the same opinion. That combined with it not being entirely ready and full of bugs, I don't think the improved graphics really sold the game and lead to users returning to the original game. When that happens I can see why they gave up with it and probably why they don't put much effort into this game anymore.
