When you take an offer to promote like that, the system puts your team in the exact same position as the prior team was in. That's the actual explanation. It's not your -100 pt sanction and won't appear in your history as a sanction on your team, but you take the points the former manager had. Whenever one of these offers appears, you need to determine whether you are likely to promote from your current position in your div/group table and if so, decline the offer. If you have no chance of promotion, you will at least earn nearly double the revenue from Div 1 home games. |
