The Nigerian prodigies dubbed the "Golden Eaglets", have proven that though any other bird can sky-dive or fly, the art of soaring belongs to eagles alone.

These lads have won the FIFA U-17 World Cup after an unparalleled display of the entertaining nature of the game, beating their Mexican counterparts 3 - 0.

An own goal, a rebounded flick-in, and a free kick worth a king's ransom were all the Eaglets needed to soar into the 4th heavens.

They started their groovy campaign with a 6 - 1 thrashing of finalists, El Tri of Mexico. Later on, Sweden forced the lads to a 3 - 3 draw in one of the most enthrilling matches of the tourney.

On match day 3, the ever-impressive players saw off the Iraqis with a calm, yet splendiferous 5 - 0 win.

Despite the bravery of the Iranian youths, having boasted not to get whitewashed like their neighbours, Iraq, they still tasted of the raging wrath of the Nigerian goal-thirsty team; they were trounced 4 - 1.

The Uruguayans were not left out; the Eaglets edged the hardworking side by 2 goals to proceed to the semis, where they met Sweden yet again. This time around, the Swedes were humbled with three unreplied goals put past their goalie.

These lads are obviously the best thing since slice bread.
