"We lowered salaries 20% yet. If most of you agree that 2 years younger players would be a decent solution, we can lower that easily." There is no easy solution out of this one. Lowering the age leaves everyone a cheater and fixes nothing, the player is still trashed, it's just applying a band aid to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Admin first has to acknowledge what happened. Who's coordinating this mess? |

I bought out 4 players all over 40, in order to sign these CDFs who were at fifty. Here, I lost in the ballpark of 5 million dollars by taking them off the market. In real life, if a player doesn't renew their contract with a team and it expires they can sign with any other willing team, without that team paying a transfer fee. Thus, why should we not expect this to be the case in this game? Why should I be penalized so drastically for taking advantage of other managers lack of haste? How was I to know this real life occurrence was an error in this game? Whether he went from 52 to 33 or to 40 I still lose at least a million dollars of sale value. Can I not just have my old players back, and have these new ones taken away? |

The ones you fired are gone from the game. Look at your sales...whereever it says "fired" there is no one's name. Players in this game can't take rejection  |

I could see a strong case made for the 20% deduction if people knowingly did it, but (in my case and in probably 90% of the other cases) many of us seriously thought it was due to it being the end of the season and contract renewals. |

If you read the regs no players were meant to be bought on a free transfer if they were out of contract so you should have guessed something like this would happen. Maybe you should have sold your other players rather than just fire them so you werent out of pocket! | 20/06/2011 22:50 |

There was a very short window to benefit, not everyone could have been online to get their chance. I saw the free players, but avoided them, as I saw this coming - players cost 10m and the next day were free! There was gonna be complaints about it to the admins. If someone got rid of 7 players avg30, and signed 7 players avg60, then that's not fair. Hopefully next season, there'll be the end of season sale of players, then any not bought will be deleted to avoid this again. And hopefully admins will plan for this, as I'm sure they will! |
