Should these managers be punished for buying free players in the last 24 hours

Like Illiterate has brought up in another thread, managers have, subsequent to being told that it is not allowed, still signed free players. This is what happened: Managers on the weekend found free players after auction or by using their coach sec. This has been covered ad naseum in other threads and the matter has been sorted out. Some managers (like myself) found players with coach secr. at the time of the chaos and also signed those players. Then all free players on the system were deleted and we were not able to find any more free players Finally a resolution was found and it was decided by admin that managers were not to know they had done anything wrong and apologies were made. So NO cheating was done up to that point. Then the other BUG popped up - players returning from loan to non existing teams were once again filling the Free Searches (my search lasts 24hrs so it was the same search). Some of these players were of excellent quality at least 30-40 mill value. I chose not to sign any player knowing full well this is now illegal. However I shortlisted them to see what would happen. Sure enough they were signed by these managers: **** **** **** Surely this is cheating and should be punished - the managers should at the least fire these players. I say you should have signed those players and stop trying to punish the ones who did. If you sent out a Coach Sec. and he found someone without a team, I think you have all the right to sign that player. There was no message from admin saying that you can't sign a player that you found through a coach sec (after all it is one of the tools provided by a game). The players who were not signed through an auction were deleted, if you found players after that, you should sign them, especially if admins say it's not cheating (and why it would be? since when using your coach secretary was cheating?). So, I'd say stop crying.... And one more thing... Why were you using your coach sec. to search for players without a team, when you think it is cheating? (and please explain why is it cheating, I'd really like to know) |

Here's why, signing them after auction was not dealt with before hand, it was even condoned by admin. On monday, the following statements were issued by admins, all with regard to Rule 2. Signing $0 senior players without a team before Monday wasn't explicitly stated. @rand: It's not a matter of who has the fastest fingers, it's a matter of fairness. It's unfair for you to get a team 5 points better than 2 days before, for free. It's obvious. - This would extend to anyone coming off of loan, auction, or anything else involving no coach at the senior level. I think they have begun to limit hostile clauses because of this in part. @rand: It was our mistake, true. But it's your fault for trying to get players like this for free, when a couple of days before they would have costed milions and milions. For the fairness of the game, we cannot allow user improving their team this fast, it ruins the fun. - Costing millions of dollars exempts escape clause 10 day period @shengli When I saw I was able to sign all those players for free, I decided to sign any of them, because I knew that later that could bring problems to me. All of you should have done the same, I think. This statement speaks for itself. @Dvnski watched the whole thing and showed himself right before @shengli's statement. Agreeing with it because he made no move to correct it. Before 20% reduction, # of Admins participating in $0 hostile clause = 4 So. Before Monday, morally grey, ethically right. After 20% reduction, # of admins participating in $0 hostile clause = 1 (@Dnsvnsk - Monday, 20 05:42) After Monday, morally grey, ethically wrong. Which brings up another question...WTF? Cheating or not is entirely at the whim and wonder of admin, and it would appear that they are going to operate contrary to their public statements when ruling on cheat reports. I think you made some mistake in understanding. 1> Free players who was put in the market (at the end of last season) for auction -> no one buy them -> They should be deleted but by a bug they still remain to be able found by Coach Secretary -> That's a bug, and you broke the rule for that if you sign them for free. 2> Other free players haven't put on the market (because they are fired by a manager for example) -> You allowed to buy them. Sign free players is not brake the rule, sign free bug players brake the rule (we don't know the differences between them by just seeing their profile though, that's why it's a bug, and unlucky). In the other way of understanding, all bugs players already deleted or deduct 10%, any free players could be found by Coach Secretary now is very ok to sign. |

Yea... What i'd really love is *some f'ing clarification or any communication whatsoever from admin* That would really really help. This is getting stupid. |
