Can we start a community like the Ninjas,Pirates nd Mercenaries?

Shariq and Andreas: Come on guys, are you going to let such petty arguments take serious turns. You both had a hand in starting the group or giving it some shape, so my kudos to both. But like most other popular PL's there are no leaders or higher ups, ...only members who make or break the community collectively. So pat eachother's back for taking first steps and shake hands. I personally would like to welcome Andreas as he seems passionate about this PL. These are my two cents, take it or leave it. But if there are more such petty disagreements, this PL will lose appeal as quickly as it gained, so lets look at the bigger picture. |

aww cheers man! yeah i agree with you the PL shouldn't have a leader or higher up when everything comes together. everyone will have a say in each decision i.e., new members. but that's for a later stage in my opinion. right now however, the founders / leaders will have to make most of the decisions as we don't really know what the envisaged community seeks to be. these player they're most likely super active SM addicts and communicate on a regular basis. for me, i'm between recreational and active just like many of you. that being said, these interim leaders will be there to make most of the decisions at this point to facilitate easy decision making. having the need to consult every single one at this point will make our community slightly too bureaucratic for its nature. but yes, when the member list is final, then all members will have to contribute in decision making, i.e., should the PL have an entry fee? if so, how much? should we have two PLs, one for div 6 and 5 members and the other for div 4 and 3 members? so yeah, as a recap, for the time being having some to make the decisions is fine but like you said Spade, in the future, all will have a say as the nature of this game isn't like WoW or Starcraft where coordination among players is the key to success. in SM i can only assume that the benefits we get from having a community such as this is the benefit of a common player market (cheaper than market price players), competition and drive to improve ourselves while playing this game. anyway, a big thank you to all who read my previous lengthy post and i look forward to chatting with all of you! |

yeah it'd be great if some of those teams could join us. i could use some of their players  question : do we have our own forum? maybe that way we could discuss things in a more "private" setting. Edited by ouchlar 08-01-2012 21:52 |

Agree totally that unity is the way. The purpose of these communities are to improve our teams and share our thoughts and suggestions for league. But ultimately the final say will come from shariq, as this is his dream and we were all given the honor of being part of this by him.
