And please, let's keep the 10 page argument between Barca and Real Madrid fans to a minimum this time.

CR has no chance he isnt even the 2nd best player in the world there are many upon him. This last 2 seasons CR has shot 106 direct free kicks, 21 of that free kicks where shots on goal (20%) and just 5 where actually goals (5%). Pep Guardiola This year: Champions, League, European Supercup, Spanish supercup and world cup of clubs. Mourinho: Copa Del Rey. I think there is no discussion here. 07/01/2012 15:36

And that's your argument for Cristiano not being even 2nd best player, the free kicks efficency? Football is not basketball, a goal in football is a rare event, and in basketball is a common thing. Statistical analysis must be done in a different way for both sports. In basketball efficiency (scores/shots taken) is much more important than in football, where efficacy (number of goals) is more relevant than the number of attempts. I'd like to hear your statistical arguments for the 2nd and 3rd best players in the world, in your opinion (if there are so many better players than Cristiano). I think only Messi is slightly above him, because he won the spanish league and Champions, because statistically they are very close (Cristiano was 5th in league assists, he had more assists than Xavi).

As for the coach I agree, Pep was better this year, the competitions won speak for themselves. He deserves the prize. But in my opinion, José is still a better coach than Pep, cause he can adapt himself and his style of play to different football cultures and players. Pep was made in FCB, he breaths FCB's culture, whether he can make a winning team in another place is still a doubt.

thats never an excuse! even a novice can manage the current madrid team full of world stars. If pep has the same squad at hand, he wont do less than mou......... so thats not an excuse!
