But in my opinion, José is still a better coach than Pep, cause he can adapt himself and his style of play to different football cultures and players. Pep was made in FCB, he breaths FCB's culture, whether he can make a winning team in another place is still a doubt.

thats never an excuse! even a novice can manage the current madrid team full of world stars. If pep has the same squad at hand, he wont do less than mou......... so thats not an excuse!

hahahahahah dude

if u put pep in madrid

it will be like villas boas in chelsea DDD

Pass pass pass run run run pass pass = 1-3 win, Champions of Spain, champions of europe and champions of the world.

CR is an overrated player. His 40 goals last season more than 20 he scored them to last 5 places of the league. Against FCB 1 (A penalty). People say that he is an exellent freekicker but thats a lie. People say that he is a best goal scorer than Messi another lie. Since CR is in RM has scored 112 goals (impressive) but in the same time Messi has scored 131. All tme stats CR has scored in 433 matches 233 goals. Messi in his all time stats has cored 211 goals on 296 matches. Messi can develop his game in different position, he can assume the roles of Xavi or Iniesta. As he can score 30 goals on the league can give 25 assists. Last clasico we all saw what happened.
The thing with CR is that there is not point bragging about kicking the ass of a 8 year old when you are 12 if when its time to fight against kids your own age you are going to be scared. Thats what happen with CR he just doesnt show up in important matches.

Then what is it? Streetfight? RUgby? You are funny. I cant take too serious a guy who actually argued that CR was better than Messi because he was better in FIFA.

A novice couldn't achieve the highest ranking ever in a modest club (5th place with Leiria), win the Champions with Porto (that team was the best team I saw in the Portuguese League, I follow that league), couldn't make Chelsea champion after 50 years (he didn't win Champions, but neither did the coaches after him), and make Inter European champion after 50 years. Different countries, different football cultures, different players... always winning teams. As I said, Pep was born in Barcelona, they play well and win, but I doubt he could implement his football model (that is Barcelona's model since Cruyff, including the youth teams) in another country or even in a different club.

See it as excuses if you like, in my point of view I argument with facts. Even managing stars is not that easy, you can see it at Manchester City, with all that money, after years they couldn't even win a league.

I think he's as overrated as Messi, they are players of similar quality. He's an excellent freekicker (tell me a player who still plays who scores more goals from freekicks than him, and don't give me the efficiency argument because, as I said, football is not basketball).

I deduct Messi doesn't score against the last teams of the league, or even doesn't play against them, to not "brag" them... In a long term competition as a league, all the games are equally important, in a play-off competition it's a different story.
In the period you are referring, Cristiano had 2 injuries, Messi wasn't, that adulterates your data. Statistically they are very, very close. As for the all time stats, Cristiano had to adapt to 2 different leagues and football cultures (England and Spain), to learn different languages and cultures.

In Barcelona, Messi can adapt himself to other positions, since that team plays with his eyes closed. In Argentina, he doesn't seem as effective playing in that kind of positions (but that I can't analyse accurately, since I do not follow that national team, only view the highlights). All I can say is that his stats drop dramatically (a similar thing occurs with Cristiano with Portugal, but he has been part of an historical Portugal team, with a 2nd place in European Cup and 4th in World Cup).

As for the "important" matches, he had great performances in big matches in United and Portugal. What I saw in the last Classico was a great overall performance of Barcelona team (Iniesta and Xavi played much better than Messi), and an unfortunate Cristiano., who is sometimes victim of his own anxiety. But what can differentiate this players are the titles won, this was Messi's year without a doubt, but I can't see the big distance you say there is. It's simply not there...

Thats a lame argument about Messi and Guardiola not playing in another team. That can not be considered as an argument because no one can know that. Or do you know the future?
He isnt good if he was good he wouldnt scored just 5 goals in 106 fee kicks. Sorry i know this is not basketball but there are better free kick takes in RM i dont why he is the only one who does them. Yes Messi scores goals to the same team but as he scores a goal to the 20th place of the league he scores a goal on a champions league final. As he scores a team in 2nd division he scores 3 goals to RM coming straight from vacation. As he scores 2 goals to Osasuna he can score 4 goals to Arsenal on a quertfinal of champions league.
Actually this discussion is very exhausting so Yes CR is the best player in the world. I am happy as long as Messi keeps winning champions, keeps scoring goal to RM and keeps breaking records.
PS Most people who says that Messi is not the same with Argentina dont even watch Argentina matches.
