Todays message is brought to you by the letters R and I

The price of the average youth player has dramatically increased over the last year. In my opinion the current price structure is Ridiculous.

I mean please someone tell me how a junior player who has a initial skill level of 10% can be touted on the market for 20 million +

I can understand that generating youth players can be thought of as a profitable way to generate cash, but please the Inflated prices are crazy.

May I suggest that people are realistic when pricing their players and maybe improving your schools or allowing a player to train for at least a year could be a way of getting better players to sell on the market.

I don't want to start an argument as i appreciate junior players can have massive potentials for future avg%.

So please if your like me and you have anything to say about this matter just hit the reply button. But please I must stress i am not trying to start any arguments, I am simply stating a fact for what i have seen over the last year.

Thanks

Simple economics mate, nothing much you can do about it.

Supply and demand - supply of 90+ FC juniors are limited and there is big demand, hence a perfectly natural price increase.

Many 90+ FC juniors were put on auction earlier in the season and ended up going for 20-80M.
Auction is as fair as you get and sets the fairest price for the current demand.

As Reb says, get some excellent quality schools and you in business.

Prices are crazy. But, like @reb mentioned, if you can acquire a 4 or 5 ball "Excellent" rated school, you can benefit greatly. I'd suggest the Netherlands. Or Portugal/Croatia. Or even Uruguay.

But yes, $50 million for a 10 average, age 14 player does seem nuts. How to combat such craziness, well, that's a topic for another thread, specifically the first post in the Suggestions forum. The owners/developers failed miserably in the foresight category, but that is also a topic for a different discussion.

I haven't seen any yet with juniors whose forecast is 80 or 90+ with age 14 going for 50 mil.. just saying haven't seen it, but I have seen a 70 plus going for 40 plus mil. It sux, but yes, this is what happens when players are rare. Eventually people won't be able to afford and the price will drop down to an equallibirum price. A price at which the supply of said juniors and the demand from managers is compromise-able. 09/05/2012 00:31

^^^ is just one example.

Managers will always be able to afford these players if they really want them, the price will never drop, only get higher as demand increases.

hmm some one talking of economics?

the prices of juniors in this game are due to heavy cash reserves with some people to be simple it's due concentration of wealth.
People are dictating prices and some crazy auction prices are taken as standard to determine fair price.

Market forces are not involved in determination of prices, just greed n prices which are standard on ES server are determining prices.
