Why? The devs are not telling the whole story. Think of leadership as play intelligence: the more a player has, the faster he gains it. In other words, higher experience results in: 1) fewer offsides calls against that player in edge cases, so you can play him right up against the end of the other team's defensive line 2) better field positioning and dribbling 3) more skill points My LIM with 3 net breaker skills and 80 finishing consistently scored more than any of my strikers with 88+ finishing. Add 3 slalom ace and running with the ball skills and you have a player who looks mediocre on paper and magnificent on the field. Compare my CF and LW. I played the LW in every single game last season when he wasn't injured, and with 58 leadership he is just barely approaching 2 experience. My CF was promoted 3 weeks ago, and he's already got 1.5 experience, gaining between .08-.11 per game depending on his in-game performance. For comparison, my RW was promoted at the same time as the CF and has just over half his experience. The CF will get almost 2 skills this season, and will have 4 by the time he's 90/20 |

I should also mention that in-game average (from the line-up screen) has a HUGE effect on experience gain. When my CF underperforms his actual average, he gains only .03-.04. When he overperforms (90+) he gains up to .11. My LF, on the other hand, gains up to .14 when he overperforms, with 74 versus 94 leadership. k , i have high leadership RB 90 , and a CDF 74 leadership DFM 20 leadership CDF 5.63 RB 0.94 DFM 2.53 i will check their game average , and exp gain , and will seeeeee ( in mondays game)  |

CF 84, RIM 85, RW 80 CF: 74 leadership, 1.52 exp RIM: 35 leadership, 7.47 exp RW: 58 leadership, 0.75 exp That should be a representative sample of 3 high average players with low, medium and high leadership. |

This is a cool study, and hopefully more managers join. I just lack players with high experience to compare with. I'll use these ones and we can test out another of Cello's points. RIM 74 avg, LDF 71 avg RIM: 39 leadership, 41.12 exp. LDF: 46 leadership, 7.35 exp. I'll post how many points they gain, and whether they over or under- performed. According to Cello, my RIM should gain experience faster as he already has more experience.....or maybe the LDF's superior leadership will cancel out that advantage.
