As always, we have to say goodbye to some teams, and this season's goodbye list stings a little more than usual. I'll start at the bottom of A2. Sam's White Walkers have always had a tough time following the PL rules, but through no ill intention of Sam himself. The demands of this PL are tough, its rules strict, and their application often harsh. That's how it has to be if the top teams are to be serious about challenging for the top leagues, and why this PL saw it fit to offer more protection by accepting fewer outside teams. From within, however, Sambizzy's White Walkers have been a nightmare one way or another this season! Despite this, Sambizzy is a nice guy, and honest when it comes to loan deals, among other things. This PL is pretty unique in the way it deals with overuse of effort, and not everyone who breaks the rules is a bad guy, as shown by Sam. Please stay in contact with him, he's a nice guy, one of the PL's best, and he leaves us with honor through his personality rather than his track record. Best of luck next season, Sam. After 2 seasons we lose a good opponent in Sheffield Sunday. He played well and fair for the most part, and is a good guy who will be welcomed back in future, I'm sure. Good luck Modgulator. We lose Jaycee's Lions. A close friend of mine, perhaps my first protégé, I know JC's boys can give more than they have this season. Too often did the high effort from the league games show itself here, and likewise too often did The Lions play league opposition on 0% effort. Given JC's dedication to his career it is inevitable that this lack of time for the game has impacted negatively on his performances in both the PL and the league, and not re-applying was probably the best move. Jaycee is a good guy, and I'd urge you all to keep in contact with him when it comes to future loan deals. He honors his word, and I've had no complaints the last 3 or 4 seasons of loan dealing with him. Best of luck in the future, buddy. Simply Organized Chaos and Polonia Bytom leave us after awful seasons in different respects, so I won't dwell too much on them, as they clearly did not think too much about us. The Cardiacs disappeared in an instant, but with them dies some of the history of this PL. Chapla's boys had been here since the beginning, and our resident doc was always fun to have around, especially in the early days. We wish him well in his career. Antarctica FC will be leaving us after failing to apply, but also due to their absence at the end of the season causing a few too many violations. Be in no doubt, Mayus' boys are one of the strongest teams in the PL - and are also former champions. For several seasons, Antarctica was the scariest place to visit in C1, and retained that title in A1. At his peak, Mayus was a fearsome opponent, winning the C1 title in S14 with ease. Their win rate of 65% (although including 6 violations) is deceptive. This PL loses, at his best, an unplayable opponent, and surely one of the shiniest jewels in this PL's crown. Mayus. you will be missed - best of luck in the future. We also say goodbye to SICK BLUE FC, with whom this PL has had a tenuous relationshipe. Never really able to stick to the rules, but also never really breaking them too often, they were allowed to continue a little longer than they perhaps should have, they represent the embodiment of the decision to limit the admissions to next season's PL to just 28 teams. We say goodbye to bryan c after 3 seasons, 12 violations and a 26% win rate. Best of luck on the future, bryan c. YAMAKASY's Concilio outfit has been like an ant at the PL picnic, let's be in no doubt about that. YAMAKASY leaves this PL disgraced after deliberately cheating in all 20 of his wins this season, and of shamefully raising his effort against top opponents last season without reply or apology. This unfortunate change in personality comes after coming 2nd and then 5th in previous seasons, with a win % of 50% even after 21 wins have been wiped off for cheating- a commendable achievement. YAMAKASY's name will be etched into lore in this PL, but not into its record books, a lot like Lance Armstrong. Rangers FC have always had a rough ride in the PL, but always because they only ever faced the toughest opposition. Each season, ian_f's boys faced relegation battle after battle, but since S14 they managed to avoid the drop through careful management of the team, but also let's not undermine the acheivement - there were some determined performances in there too, and it's my personal opinion that Rangers always looked a little worse in the table than they appeared in the game, often losing to a single goal while playing their hearts out - true William Wallace stuff! With a 6.8% violations record and a 15.8% win rate, we say goodbye to ian_f and wish him well in the future. G&G leave us after a catacylismic first season in C1, but let's not forget that Kevindiels's lads beat very strong opposition in S15, their first season in the PL, to take the 2nd promotion spot. Their violations record of 3.8% is still a fantastic record, and we wish Kevindiel the best of luck in the future. Next up is plavidevets Plavi 9 side. Plavi has played 78 games (3 seasons) without a single violation, placing him joint 2nd in the leaderboard behind the mighty ronnie. While Plavi's attacking capabilities could never quite see their side all the way to the championship, plavidevet's strong defense, and effective management of the team meant they were never an easy opponent, and many of C1's best sides were quite often happy to simply see the game through with a draw. Plavi, likewise, leaves this PL a saint, and his contributions on the forum pages will be missed. I'll end with Zatwor. ricko joined us back in S14, and has played 3 seasons in C1 without registering a single violation point, placing Zatwor joint 2nd with Plavi, behind his buddy ronnie's Stallions in that regard. In his first season, ricko's boys struggles, finishing 8th and recording very few wins. The following season, though ricko's boys stormed C1, and his 14 wins was enough to see ricko crowned C1 champion. This most recent season has seen Zatwor finish in 4th place after another great season. ricko leaves us not only a champion, but a saint, and will be misse |
