My opponent has a great bunch of strikers, formidable, but when the guy who scores 2 goals, including the winner, ends the game with 39 stamina I do question the match engine. Their manager is just playing 100% effort flat out all the game, every game. It's also annoying that at some point very soon everybody else will be taking full advantage of his tired players. I registered significantly more shots on goal, 26 v 14, so I don't even know whether to look into my tactics or just chalk this one down to Mercury being in retrograde, the game engine being a cruel mistress, and moving on. If I get outplayed in terms of shots on goal, I'll look at the kind of attacks I was having. Am I attacking more often than the stats let on but having too many offside calls, too many shots blocked, or having my strikers barged off the ball. If this more or less seems in my favor, I can only assume that if "I" am putting the ball at my strikers' feet enough to give them 26 shots, and my defenders only allowing their strikers to get 14 shots away I must be doing something right. On the other hand, I have been beaten by a crude, caveman tactic by a team with 40 stamina less than my own players. It's tough to know what to make of that!

In 4 encounters with that opponent we are now level in every way, points won, goals scored, and goals conceded, so it's not like he has significantly better tactics than me, in fact I think the opposite. If I had such good players at my disposal I might hope to be doing better than mid-Div 3.
