Should the Uplay team restart developement of the Old Striker Manager?

So, as I anticipated a couple of years ago, when they announced that the Uplay team will stop the developement of Striker Manager, and focus only on the New Striker Manager, the new game failed in many ways. One of the most important for a company like Uplay, or any other software business is the popularity of their product. The new striker manager has no where near the amount of users that the old one has. Just take a look of the managers online all the time. When I'm writing this, at about 1.30 am CET, 201 managers are online on the En server of the Old Striker Manager, and just 92 on the New Striker Manager...

Let's try to convince the dev team to pay more attention to the Old Striker Manager comunity and restart developement of this game which made them famous.

Any suggestions from the comunity would be great.

Have a great season everyone!

PS: feel free to promote this topic in your own leagues so that managers vote and have their say, the more, the better. Thanks!

I'm very much in support of this!

Apart from the number of manager online, they cant just leave this version like that...this is where it all began, most of the managers on new version are from here!

The result of this poll is obvious, since it has been made on this site. However, the things you say in support of your idea are correct. There are less active players. I think that the biggest issue here is that they make much more money with the new SM than they do with this one, even with less active players, since the in-game purchases are much more expensive and valid for a shorter time (so, many more purchases-much more money for Uplay). On the other hand, they are not farsighted by letting this game die since they can continue extracting money from the users (maybe I was too rough here), knowing that many many users of the old SM really dislike the new one and they would rather stop playing SM than start a new career on that crappy new game.

Well, this is my opinion, of course. So, LONG LIVE CLASSIC STRIKER MANAGER!!!

PS: I signed up to both the games at the same time, but never really got into the new SM. I do prefer this one. Even if I was promoted at my first year in both games.

I sent them this letter on facebook before Christmas:

"Hello devs and team at Uplay and merry Christmas!

I'm sorry to write you these lines, but I was right a couple of years ago when you first announced the new Striker Manager game. How could you let go of a project so popular to start a new one? Just look how many people are playing the old and excellent Striker Manager and how many are playing the new one, with better graphics (nice design work, btw), but less gameplay...

I'm not one of those players that complain without supporting your work. Before you let go of the Old Striker Manager project, I used to gladly support your team with the few money I had, not to pay2win, but to reward your good work.

And to conclude, I'm still hoping that you'll wake up, and start working again on the old striker manager, that appart from being a great game (it's the longest game I played online, almost from the begining), it has and had a great comunity of players, a big familly.

Best of wishes for the holidays and the new year from a die hard Old Striker Manager player! (m1shu)

PS: please be more focused towards the international comunity as well"

And their reply was:

"Thanks for your words. We know that the classic SM have lot of followers and we hope to give them more support to all of them from now on. Merry Christmas!"

I hope it will be the way they wrote you. But I think they will still hope that we all turn to the new SM, so to give them much more money than we are doing now. 05/01/2015 00:37

well, the more of us talking on this post and voting, the more attention it will get

I doubt that people are paying too much for the new striker manager... I for one stopped supporting them the moment they announced the stopping of support for the developement of the classic Striker Manager that we all love
