You can't have more than 2 CDF. There is a good reason for this.
Enough people have told you why. Some very good players of the game have taken time out of their day to tell you why.
It's not because 'no one cares'
Some suggestions carry baggage more trouble than they're worth, as in my opinion and those of more experienced managers, does this one.

I respect everyone's time who answered me there, but my conclusion remains. Claiming that 3 CDFs formation would bring excessive farming while in the same time entire system allows us to play with 10 CDFs in 1st line-up if we wish and have them from 100-80%, + 7 more on bench with 80%motivation without any kind of restriction at all is an overstatement.
Excessive farming does not come from this, it comes from the problem that there are no restrictions what so ever on the positions you can have in your team and their motivation if you misplace them (in senior team).

To be very clear, you will not have 10 CDF's with 80-100% motivation if you have them all on the field. The rest will being playing out of position at a far lower motivation rate (25% + accessories bonus) than if they were in the sub or reserve bench. Sicox point was that the dev's had to make a cut off somewhere of how many players would be permitted in a particular position. They chose two.

It absolutely does limit excessive farming precisely because of the loss of motivation for playing out of position. So while you can have 10, actually 11 CDF's on the field, only the two in the CDF position will earn 100% (+/-) motivation. The rest will be playing out of position and earn 25% (+/-) motivation.

My mispositioned OM on yellow trains with 102% motivation instead of 104% I have also many times mispoitioned players more drastically, but still on yellow and they trained on 90%.....I have never tried them on red so can't speak for sure for that scenario but obviously there are loopholes.... 06/02/2015 02:36

Seniors in yellow generally don't lose much in terms of motivation for being played out of position, however the far more important part is that you're losing average, if I swap my 89 CDF and 89 LDF, they play at 85 and 84 average respectively, that's a huge drop in average for my senior team.

As far as playing 3 CDF's at the back, you can't really do it, but that's what LDF/RDF's are for. Yes CDF's are better, but I doubt you'd notice that much difference playing LDF/CDF/RDF. It's also all how good you are at making your formation work. You could probably create a formation that played just 2 CDF's that was successful, but you'd have to do some work to make it really good.

I agree with everything said here Illex and Vgates, by no means did I try to push this conversation this far but if I am "attacked" (in lack of better word) I will defend my thoughts.
