Is there a guide that explaines how the diffrent things work accactly? example i have just 2 attackers, i need to play long bals to them, but my defenders and midlefielders keep runing with the ball to long and dont pass it, even my high pass % players, ive tried counter attack short pass, and inn between both, ive tried pass through middle and on the wings, they still run to long with the ball when they have a perfect passing opportunity. if there is no guide that explains everything, can someone make one? |

no at least not in one place ! also many conflicting ideas out there imo playing 2 attackers = more stupid off sides which is why i play only 1 up u will also notice mids always try to pass to the forwards even when they in good shooting position - key to my tactics is getting the mids to play as attacking mids and support loan striker i still cant get my attacker to use this support (he wont pass) but its working better all the time also i only look to evaluate my tactics when i am playing with my 1st team at 100% and playing vs sim or better team |

Ram- give me your LM 78avg. And I'll tell you all the secrets you want to know  Just kidding of course... Wive is right, everyone has differnt styles of play and at the moment I would even go as far as to say since the sim update , some of us are rethinking and resetting our strategy for tactics. With that said, play styles differ significantly from division to division. Even if someone say, gave you a tactic and formation from div 2 to help you in div 4... You may get slaughtered. Try to read over the tactics FAQ section and maybe even message the @ or manager who posted under the tactics section. You should be able to find Somthing in the FAQ section or just chatting with others in general chat. thx for replies, im constant changing my tactics, but what im really looking for is how do they play the ball on counterattack, or on short pass, and all the other advanced tactick, exept man vs zone marking and pressure, that i got down  because after trying out the diffrent tacticks countless times, i cant find a real pathern to how they affect the game, the counter attack dosent seem to work, they dont play long, fast passes, and on short passes they dont play short passes for the most of their passes, i cant seem to find a pathern on how they affect the game same with passing in the middle or on wings, after trying out the tactics, it dosent seem to do what they say and i cant figure out how the two work |

Short pass vs counter attack. Imagine a circle around your player. The closer the bar is to short pass, the smaller the circle is, closer to counter the bigger it is. When they decide to pass they look at people within that circle to pass to. So full counter they may well look at most of the pitch. How the game decide when to pass i have no idea, seems to be when they are likely to get tackled. This isn't cannon, but is my understanding of it. |

Wings vs play in the center. Does exactly the opposite to what the three tactics lines do. It pushes the positions of your players In advanced formation either out towards the wings or in towards the centre. It means you don't have to create a whole new formation if you come up against people who pack the wings or the centre. Leave the bar in the middle if you want your players to be where you placed them in advanced formation. |
