Good to see a discussion about this topic... my friends know I've been complaining for weeks lol I'm fed up with seing my team playing much better than my opponents, shoting the double (sometimes more) on goal than the opponent, failing stupid one on one and finally losing the games. I've been told some solutions are being tested on beta sim (they're now testing them for a whole week on .es server before the season starts) but don't seem to be stable enough. In general, what's being tested is similar to patient ideas. The defenders slowing-down they set time ago would be deleted and we'd be back to normal (there are some other issues regarding defenders performance). This could allow a certain improvement in forwards effectiveness in one on one shots. |

If you get a one on one, most of the time, you get a shot at least on the net. All players will not shoot the ball 20 feet wide unless your name is Wayne Rooney or Emile Heskey Edited by PeterP1999 19-01-2013 21:14 |

Its sad that whiners win battle back then and devs made sim like this. I got Q : if barsa is playing div.6 team (i think lowest division in spain is 4 div. tecera or smt) what will scoreline look like ? 20-0 ? yes If i let 20 situations 1 vs 1 should i recive 10 goals ? yes We need old sim back(before devs change strikers),and i think we cant see funny scorelines coz most teams play with 7+ in defense and if they play OT they will and should be punished. there were some nice suggestions in this thread but i think the old sim back will be best for all. what is the point of training strikers if they do this ( 96% shot and 1/37 goals, and i need more than 1 season to get him from 94%shot to 96%) http://en.strikermanager.com/jugador.php?id_jugador=676400 |

super striker king said: why not improve close range (maybe progressively)but decrease striker speed progressively as they move closer to opponent goalpost. This way high OTs shall die as there shall be more reward in keeping defenders close to your Goal post but they cant be brought too close due to increased close shooting accuracy. This way managers shall be forced to keep your defs at optimum position which will be neither too close nor too far. This way managers will not have so many complains about OT and nor will be such problem of missing 1 vs 1 also scorelines will remain close(hopefully) aleph44 said: offside traps have long been a dead tactic. there are tons of threads explaining how to deal with them. let's stay on topic The suggestion was mainly for 1 vs 1 close range shooting but OT was just a aftermath of it. |

i appreciate that ss. but this issue is too important to confuse with OT. alot of time and effort was spent fixing offsides in the sim. if people are still having trouble with offside traps, they aren't trying hard enough. anyway, back on topic: http://en.strikermanager.com/partido.php?id=11058008&accion=datos sigh. |

It's been almost a year to the day since they introduced slow defenders, which as you might remember I VIGOROUSLY protested. Once they introduced stupid strikers, I started the "no stupid strikers/no slow defenders" campaign (you can see the start in my striker news entries archive, it was the most-voted article with 74 votes) The devs promised change last March, but did nothing. Now I hear they are removing slow defenders. Stupid strikers is sure to follow if they improve defenders or GKs. Keep making noise! Vive la resistance!! |
